This week the children painted the clay beads they had made the previous week. They then left them to dry until next week when they will make either a necklace or a bracelet.
They also made a ring using some old buttons and wire. I am sure you will agree that they have done an amazing job!
This week the children made some clay beads and decorate the outside using clay tools. They also learned how to make a brooch and a key-ring using hammer beads. They worked really hard and concentrated well. Next week they will paint the beads to make either a bracelet or a necklace. Keep watching to find out how they got on!
This week the children made some necklaces and bracelets using pasta and pipe cleaners. They decorated the pasta using coloured felt-tip pens and a variety of sequins. They then threaded the pasta and beads onto the pipe cleaners. I am sure you will agree they have done an amazing job.
Today the children started their jewellery course. They looked at a selection of necklaces, brooches and rings. They designed their own piece of jewellery and made either a simple bracelet or necklace.
This was the final day of the course and the children made rings, brooches and necklaces. They used a variety of resources such as buttons and bottle tops also beads and wire. I am sure you will agree they have made some beautiful pieces of jewellery that they should be proud of.
This week the children made bracelets and rings from recycled materials. Mrs Herrington had previously cut a plastic bottle into narrow circles/strips. Then the children chose their own paper to cover and decorate them. They also had a variety of resources such as glitter and stars to embellish the bracelets.
The children then made rings from old buttons and wire. They had to thread wire through two buttons and attached them together with wire.
I am sure you will agree they have done an excellent job!
Next Friday is the final day of the course! The children will share what they have been doing with the rest of the Reception children during our 'Graduation Assembly'.
They will all be awarded with their Degree Certificate by the Head of Aire View University Mrs Bottomley!
This week the children worked really hard making their clay beads into a piece of jewellery. They chose to make either a necklace or bracelet. I am sure you will agree that they have done a fantastic job and as you can see they are all extremely proud of their achievements.
The children were very honoured this week as they were visited by the Dean of Aire View University Mrs Chris Newson. She arrived to verify the quality of the student standards and confirmed that they were met with flying colours. She was extremely impressed by the range of courses the students were involved in and the calibre of the students.
Today the children painted their clay beads that they made last week. They carefully painted each beads using a variety of bright colours and PVA glue was added to the paint to help seal them.
Once they had finished painting them they left them to dry. Next week they will be able to make them into a necklace or a bracelet.
This week the children were learning how to make beads using clay. They looked at a variety of necklaces and bracelets particularly focusing on the beads. Then they made their own beads rolling sphere shapes, cutting out flat shapes such as hearts and stars. They created patterns on the beads with clay tools.
Next week they will paint the beads and make them into a necklace or bracelet.
We can't wait to see what the finished product will look like. Well done to them all.
