Summer Term week 4 - Singing and Circle Games
The children started by warming up their voices. The children all know each others names now and used them in a song where they took it turns to keep the beat using a drum. They also used their pat and clap skills to extend their partner work into a changing partners dancing song.

As usual the children started by warming up their voices. The children sang a name song and kept the beat using a drum. They also used their pat and clap skills to extend their partner work into a dancing song. They ended with some favourite singing games.
Summer Term week 2 - Singing and Circle Games
This week the children continued to learn each others names by singing them in songs. They continued to get to know each other through partner clapping songs and activities. They began to develop the musical skills of listening and responding to music, rhythm work and learning about voice and pitch.
Summer Term week 1 - Singing and Circle Games
The children learnt each others names with a 'getting to know you' song. They then carried out some listening acitivites to develop their musical skills.

The children sang their favourite songs and rhymes.

The children sang the round 'London's Burning' and learnt some more Pat-a-Cake songs. they practised keeping the beat. They certainly look like they were having fun.

The children continued with partner and whole group dancing songs. The children started to learn a new song to perform.

The children focussed on exploring different vocal sounds and body persussion through paired and group singing and dancing games.
