Summer Term week 4 - Samba
The children played the marching beat for Mrs Keith's Drill squad and learnt a football chant.
Summer Term week 3 - Samba
This week the children made up their own word rhythms and decided which rhythm best suited an instrument.
Summer Term week 2 - Samba
This week the children took turns to play different instruments. They mad long, short, loud and quiet sounds.
Summer Term week 1 - Samba
The children were introduced to samba. they talked about the various instruments and used two drum sticks to beat out a rhythm. They learnt how to hold a drum stick correctly.
Week 6 - Samba
This week the samba group split into two groups and made up their own rhythms to play. They also learnt how to play the samba football chant. At the end of the session the children thought of a word to describe their samba experience. These are a few - Awesome, Amazing, Noisy, I love it!

Week 5 - Samba
This week the children focussed on bringing all they have learned together and working as a proper band to learn and perform a piece of Samba music.
Week 4 - Samba
Today the children decided which samba instrument they played well and leearnt a short piece of music to play on it.
Week 3 Samba
The children learnt to play different word rhythms on different instruments and decided which rhythm best suited an instrument.
