Summer Term - week 4 - Duke of Aire View

This week the children played bingo and beetle as well as other board games.

 

Summer Term - Week 3 - Duke of Aire View

This week the children went on a treasure hunt around the school. They also played a game where if they rolled a 6, they put a hat, scarf and gloves on and used a knife and fork to eat a piece of chocolate. 

 

Summer Term - Week 2 - Duke of Aire View

The children this week were set the challenge of building the tallest tower made  out of straws and who could build the strongest brifge using newspaper. The children thought of their own team names. These were: The ultimate element, Team Empire, The Golden Master and Team Bridge

Summer Term Week 1 - Duke of Aire View

The children began with a road safety talk. They then walked around Silsden loking for safe places to cross the road. They then discussed crossing between teo parked cars.

 

Week 6  - Duke of Aire View

This week the children made dens, ate camp fire food, sang camp fire songs and played games. They also Learnt about writing and cracking codes.

Week 5 - Duke of Aire View

This week the children walked to and played in the park. They talked about playing safely in the park. They also discussed water safety and looked for signs of Spring.

 

Week 4 - Duke of Aire View

The children looked at the large map of Silsden they created last week. they discussed their route to the park ready for next week. The children then thought about the different items they should take on a walk. For example a map and a drink. They made sandwiches and practised tying shoe laces, reef and figure of eight knots.

Week 3 - Duke of Aire View

This week the children found Silsden on a large map of Yorkshire and the discussed the various markings and symbols found on the map and what they represented. They then worked together to make a large map of Silsden and plan their journey to the park ready for next week. They then finished with a discussion on water safety. A Fun packed session!

Weel 1 -Duke of Aire View

The children were introduced to the idea of the Duke of Aire View. They discussed their motto and decided it was to have fun. They then decided on a promise. "I promise that I will try my best to make friends and learn something new every day'. The children then made badges and did a treasure hunt.
